I’ve been waiting to write this review for months! This will be more about the owner and people than the food. Yes, the food is amazing! I’ve had almost everything on the menu now and it’s all been delicious. My favourite is anything with the deep fried fish. This prices are great and the atmosphere is chill and friendly - you feel like you’re in a family business that wants to take care of its costumers. The Owner and his staff are on another level. I liked the food and would’ve been back regardless but after meeting Fareed (sorry if I spelt that wrong) they become more than a restaurant. Contigo became a business I want to support! I have brought friends and family here not just for the good food but to support these amazing people. I recently booked the entire venue for a “White Glove” service ordering the entire menu for a party. The food, people, atmosphere were all amazing. But to top it off! Even though Contigo was closed for a private event, people came in to try and order tacos. Fareed took exceptional care of our party and the customers who wanted food. You would see him outside making sure that each customer felt seen and heard and did his best to leave them with a positive experience even though there was a private party. The relationships they have with their customers are beyond average. I feel important every time I come in and I see the same thing happening for so many others. If you’re in the area - or even if you aren’t - you gotta check this place out. I’ll probably see you guys tomorrow ;)
I have been looking for an authentic Mexican gem like this for years. Contigo is amazing and worth a trip even if you aren't close by. The food is fantastic, with epic flavors, good prices, and portions. Staff are all awesome, and the owner is a great guy. They care, and it shows. Can't recommend this spot enough! Anytime for anything!
Love this restaurant! The food is delicious, a small but great variety to choose from. Huge array of sauces plus they make their own which they sell also!! Kid friendly too with an arcade game in the back! The host is helpful in explaining everything to you & what to order. Huge portions which you can take home too! Place was packed from the time we ordered until we left, about 1.25 hrs. Staff is friendly, pleasant and very helpful! Washrooms are clean and really nice. Thank you!
I had some really good tacos at this restaurant! I got the 4 for 14.99 deal and it was worth it since you can mix and match the protein. My favourite tacos were the Chorizo, Deep Fried Fish and the BBQ Pulled Pork. They had a lot of flavour and were cooked nicely. The staff were very nice and checked in on my group regularly. I was excited to see that they have a sauce station where you can try different hot sauces. The place has a nice vibe and music. They have a lot of Jaritos to choose from so that was exciting as well! I would definitely check out the place if you can.
The Supreme Quesadilla was really, really good! The tacos were just okay—they’re not authentic tacos, just Tex-Mex. I ordered carne asada and grilled chicken tacos, but they gave me jerk chicken instead. I’m not sure what that is, lol—it was kind of sweet. If I went back, I’d try something else. We spent around 50 for this, including one Jarrito, one Coke, and the tip. The place was nice, with cool music and great customer service.
Had a great lunch at Contigo, a fantastic Mexican restaurant, with my colleagues! We got there around 11:30 AM, and within just 15 minutes, the place was packed—with people lining up for tables. Definitely a sign of how popular (and good) this spot is. We all went for the taco deal—4 for 14.99—and it did not disappoint. The tacos were authentic, packed with flavor, and perfectly portioned for lunch—not too heavy, but very satisfying. We tried a variety of fillings including shrimp, jerk chicken, grilled chicken, and fried fish—each one was delicious in its own way. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors bold, and everyone at the table left happy. Can’t wait to go back!
My friend and I have been to contigo twice already and I gotta say, it’s probably one of my favourite Mexican restaurants in Mississauga. Love the vibe, very casual and good music. Whoever is controlling the music, 10/10. So far we have tried, this is my own personal opinion from what my favourite to least favourite was: Fish quesataco - 7/10 - the fish taco was good, but not on my top of favourite proteins. Shrimp quesataco - 8/10 - the shrimp was definitely good! I would get again, but maybe just in the regular taco not with the quesataco. Steak quesataco - 10/10 - the steak here is delicious, the steak is going to be one of my go to proteins. Jerk chicken quesataco - 5/10 - definitely our least favourite flavour, wouldn’t reorder. But if you’re really into jerk chicken, I would recommend it. The girl at the cash said this was a popular option and her favourite. Pulled pork quesataco - 10/10 - loved the flavour and how tender the meat was. Empanada’s (beef and jerk chicken) - the empanadas are huge! Definitely their own meal and not an appetizer size. They were very good, I also added cheese on top. Supreme fries - 10/10 - this has become a common staple for my friend and I to order and share. Quesadilla supreme with steak - 10/10 - this has to be my FAVOURITE item on the menu currently. It’s difficult to eat, so I use a fork (I know.) but it just makes it easier since I like to wear my food too apparently. Makes it less messy. We also tried their churros and mango cheesecake. The churros were good, but the cheesecake was delicious!! Definitely my favourite. Can’t wait to try the other flavours. Service is also a 10/10. Everyone here is really nice and attentive. I also love their variety of different hot sauces they offer and the cheeto dust. You can just grab what you want and bring it to your table.
Contigo is awesome! The tacos are super tasty and totally worth the price. One of the best parts is you can mix and match — you get 4 different tacos in one order, which is perfect if you can't decide (like me). Highly recommend the pulled pork and sauteed shrimp tacos — seriously good. Great spot, will definitely be back!
